Z- Morh tunnel – in Sonamarg, Jammu & Kashmir – inaugurated by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi – on 13.01.25 , Monday – 6.4 km tunnel – named such after the Z-shaped mountain pass – at an altitude of 8,500 ft – located at Gagangir in Ganderbal district – helpful for the defence strategy – also promising for the tourism industry – boost the economy – connect Sonamarg with the capital Srinagar all year round – construction cost of Rs. 2700 crores – it will make life easier for the people of Sonamarg, Kargil , Leh – further avalanches will not close road any more
