Young Scientists Program – Yuvika 2023 –
ISRO is organising a special program for school’s children, called Young Scientist Program or Yuba Vigyani Karykram, YUVIKA to impart basic knowledge on space Technology , Space Science and Space Applications .
Registration started on – March 20 , 2023 Registration will end on – April 3rd ,2023 Release of first selection list -April 10th, 2023 Release of second selection list -April 20, 2023 Reporting by selected students at respect ISRO centres- May 14th ,2023 or as intimated by ISRO through registered email of the student . Yuvika Program – May 15th to 26th, 2023 Send off date for selected students from respective centre – May 27th, 2023
The selection of participants in Yuvika 2023 will be carried out on the basis of following parameters –
1 .Mark’s obtained in class 8 or last conducted exam ( student )- 50%
2 .Performance in the online quiz – 10%
3.Participation in science fair (School / District/ State and above level in last 3 years)- 2 / 5 / 10%
4. Rank in Olympiad or equivalent ( 1 to 3 ranking in School / District / State and above level in last 3 years )- 2 / 4 / 5 %
5.Winners of sport competitions ( 1to 3 rank in School / District / State and above level in last 3 years ) – 2 / 4 / 5%
6. Scout and Guides / NCC / NSS Member in last 3 years – 5%.
7. Studying in Village / Rural School located in Panchayat area – 15%
The course material lodging and boarding etc during the during entire course will be born by ISRO .
Student studying in class ‘ 9 ‘ as on January 1, 2023 within India is eligible to apply.
