Application is open for WBCS Executive & etc. Examination 2023 . Last date to apply 21st March . Preliminary exam may be scheduled in June.

Post – To recruit in different posts of officer categories under group A, B, C, and D. Group A is for BDO and other executive ranks and group B is for Police Service. Vacancies will be notified later.
Qualification – Graduation. Candidates must be able to read , speak and write Bengali. Not necessary for those whose mother tongue is Nepali .
Age – For the posts of group A and C age must not be less than 21 years and upper than 36 years on the 1st January of the year of examination. For group B must not be less than 20 years and more than 36 years on the 1st January of the year of examination. For group D age must not be below 21 years and above 39 years on the 1st January of the year of examination.
Age relaxation – The upper age limit by 5 years for SC and ST and 3 years for OBC ( Non – Creamy Layer ) . SC, ST, O.B.C. candidates of other states shall be considered as unreserved category. For Persons with Benchmark Disabilities or PwBD ( 40% and above ) the upper age limit upto 45 years.
Examination Pattern – Both Written and Personality Test.
Written examination will be of two parts –
1. Preliminary Examination of 200 marks – MCQ types
2. Main Examination ( both objective MCQ and Conventional type )
Fee – Rs. 210 and service charge . For SC, ST and PwBD candidates of West Bengal are not required to pay .
