Now Hubballi railway station of Karnataka is registered in the Guinness Book of World Records for having the longest railway platform in the world . The name of the station is Shree Siddharoodha Swamiji Station . It is in the SWR or South Western Railway Zone in India. The platform no. 8 of the station is the world’s longest platform having a length of 1507 metres. So Gorakhpur railway station ( Uttarpradesh, Northern Railway ) is now having world’s second longest platform with a length of 1366 metres . Kollam Junction railway station ( Kerala ) is now having the third longest platform in India with a length of 1180.5 metres.
