History made by Subhangshu Shukla. Now he became the second Indian to reach space after Wing Commander Rakesh Sharma who went to space in 1984 . Subhangshu Shukla , a 39 years old  fighter pilot and Group Captain who was chosen by ISRO for the mission Gaganyaan. He went into space with three other astronauts through the Axiom – 4 mission . He is the pilot of the mission. The SpaceX Falcon 9 spacecraft with the crew dragon capsule lifted off on 25th June, 2025 , Wednesday at 12:01 IST from launch complex 39 A at Kennedy Space Centre, NASA in Florida , USA . Peggy Whitson is the mission’s commander with huge experience in NASA. Other two are Slawosz Uznanski – Wisniewski from Poland and Tibor Kapu from Hungary. The mission is successfully docked at the International Space Station around 4:45 PM IST on 26th June, Thursday after a journey of almost 28 hours and they entered the orbital lab around 6 PM IST. We are proud of Subhangshu Shukla.
