Bhavani Devi , first Indian fencer to qualify for the Olympics, won the gold medal 🥇 at the Commonwealth Fencing Championship by defeating Australia’s Veronika Vasileva by 15-10 in the final of the senior women sabre individual category at London . She was also the defending champion of the tournament.
Neeraj Chopra created history again by becoming the first Indian to win Diamond League Final 2022 in Zurich on 8th September to win the prestigious Diamond Trophy 🏆 in javelin with a best throw of 88.44 metres.
