Ranji Trophy 2024-25 is over now. Vidarbha won it and it is their third Ranji Trophy. Akshay Wadkar’s Vidarbha became the champion by defeating Kerala in the final virtue of the first innings lead at the VCA stadium in Nagpur . It was Kerala’s first final ever. Kerala won the toss and elected to field first. Vidarbha scored 379 in the first innings and Danish Malewar scored 153 runs for them . Sarwate took 4 wickets for 96 runs for Kerala. Kerala scored 342 runs in reply. Sachin Baby scored 98 runs for them and Nalkande took 3 wickets for 52 runs for Vidarbha. In the second innings Vidarbha scored 342/9 and declared. Karun Nair scored 135 runs for them. A first innings lead of 37 runs gave Vidarbha the chance to lift the trophy. Player of the tournament award was given to Harsh Dubey of Vidarbha and he took 69 wickets in the tournament. He took the most number of wickets in the tournament. Yash Rathod from Vidarbha scored most runs (960 runs ) in the tournament.
