Ranji Trophy 🏆 2023-24 is over now . It is a premier domestic cricket tournament in India and organized by the BCCI( Board of Control for Cricket in India ) . It was started in 1934 . Presently 38 teams participate in the tournament. The champion of this season is Mumbai . They defeated Vidarbha in the final in Wankhede stadium, Mumbai . Mumbai is the record time winner of the tournament. They participated in the final for 45 times and achieved the crown 42 times . It is a great achievement for Ajinkya Rahane , the skipper of Mumbai. Vidarbha captain , Akshay Wadkar won the toss and elected to bowl first. In the final Mumbai scored 224 in the first innings and Vidarbha scored just 105 rund. In the second innings Mumbai scored 418 and Vidarbha scored 368 runs . Mumbai won the match by 169 runs . One of the yung cricketer of Mumbai , Musheer Khan became Player of the Match and he scored 136 runs and also took 2 wickets in the second innings. Tanush Kotian of Mumbai became Player of the Tournament . A legendary player of Mumbai and Ex Indian cricketer Dhawal Kulkarni played his last match in this final and retired from cricket.
