Nursing is no doubt a lucrative career option for both the girls and boys . নিঃসন্দেহে নার্সিং একটি উল্লেখযোগ্য কেরিয়ার অপশন ছেলে ও মেয়েদের জন্য ।There is always a huge need of nurses all over the world. According to World Bank there will be a demand of almost 6 million nurses in India by 2030. In past students completed nursing courses , were recruited in Government and Private health sector with a handsome salary structure. In India it is always a great career option for girls students and now a days boys are also completing nursing courses and getting their jobs . Not only the Government institution many private institutions are also coming to trained the students.

Types of Nursing Courses in India, Qualification, Age , duration and Examining Body বিভিন্ন ধরনের নার্সিং কোর্স, যোগ্যতা, বয়স, সময়কাল

  1. ANM or Auxiliary Nurse & Midwife Duration 2 years – Examination conducted by Nursing Examination Board- Age -Students with age of minimun 17 years to maximum 35 years Qualification- 10+2 passed with Arts or Science or Health care sciences can apply . Students of recognized open schools are also eligible.
  2. GNM or General Nursing & Midwifery Duration -3 and 1/2 years , 3 years from 2015-16 – Examination conducted by Nursing Examination Board- Students – Qualification-Students with 10+2 with English and obtain atleast 40% marks or 10+2 with English and having 40% marks in Vocational ANM or 10+2 with English having 40% marks in Vocational Stream Health care sciences or Registered ANM with pass marks can apply- Age- 17 to 35 years and no age bar for registered ANM ; – students of State and National Open School can also apply.
  3. B.Sc (Basic) – Duration– 4 years- Examination conducted by University – Age-Minimum age 17 years – Qualification-Students with 10+2 in Science with Physics, Chemistry , Biology and English with aggregate of 45% can apply- students National Open School with 45% marks can also apply.
  4. B.Sc (Post Basic) – Duration-Regular 2 years and Distance 3 years – Examination conducted by University – For Qualification follow the link below of Indian Nursing Council’s Website.
  5. M.ScDuration– 2 years – Examination conducted by University – For Qualification follow the link below of Indian Nursing Council’s Website.
  6. M.PhilDuration-1 year full time and 2 years part time – Examination conducted by University .
  7. Ph. D Duration– 3 to 5 years – Examination conducted by University .
