No More Child Labour

12th June – World Day Against Child Labour.

A world without child labour‘ – yes we must take a promise to make it happened .We all want a secured future for our children and want to see them well established in their life. But still there are many child labour still working in different sectors in the world and in this global pandemic due to corona virus can make their lives more difficult.

1.There are still almost 152 million students working as child labour and among these almost 72 million are working in hazardous sector.

2.Almost one children among every ten children are child labour in the world.

3. There are highest number of child labour , almost 72 million and also highest percentage of children in child labour, almost one fifth of children in Africa.

4.Asia and Pacific regions together have almost 62 million child labour and almost 7 % of all children are child labour.

5. 9% of all children are child labour in lower middleincome countries and 7% of all children are child labour in upper middleincome countries.In least developed countries more than one in four children are child labour (ages between 5 to 17 ).

6. Almost half ( 48% ) of the child labour are in the age group of 5 to 11 years of age. Highest concentration of child labour is in agriculture 71%.

Global March Against Child Labour and the International Partnership for Cooperation on Child Labour in Agriculture (IPCCLA) came together to organize campaign against child labour this year.The United Natioins has a goal to end child labour by 2025.

So , let’s come and join hands with each other to eliminate child labour.
