Jay Shah was elected unopposed as the Independent Chair of ICC or International Cricket Council . He is now Current honorary Secretary of the BCCI or Board of Control for Cricket in India. He is also the President of the Asian Cricket Council or ACC. He was the sole nominee for the chairmanship of ICC. He will take his position on 1st December, 2024. Before him four Indians were in charge of the highest position of the International Cricket Council. Jagmohan Dalmiya (1997- 2000) and Sharad Pawar (2010-2012) were two Indians who held the President post of ICC and this was the highest position of ICC in that time. Then N.Srinivasan ( 16th July, 2014 to 9th November, 2015 ) and Shashank Manohar (22nd November, 2015 to 30th June, 2020) were two other Indians who were Chairman of ICC . 35 year old Jay Shah is the youngest ICC Chairman till now.
