Jammu and Kashmir cricket team made history by winning their first ever Ranji Trophy  in 2025-26 which is a record in 67 years of history of Ranji Trophy . They prevailed Karnataka cricket team in the final  by a first innings lead in KSCA Rajnagar Stadium ( D. R. Bendre Cricket Stadium, Hubli) in Hubballi . though the match was drawn .  This final was their 346th match and it was only 47th win for them . Jammu and Kashmir’s captain Paras Dogra won the toss and elected to bat first. They scored 584 runs in first innings . Subham Pundir scored 121 runs for them . Karnataka scored  only 293/10  in their first innings .   Their captain Mayank Agarwal scored 160 runs for them . Auqib Nabi Dar took 5 wickets for 54 runs for Jammu and Kashmir.  In second innings Jammu and Kashmir scored 342/4 . Qamran Iqbal scored 160 not out and Sahil Lotra made 101 runs for them . Total lead was 633 runs for Jammu and Kashmir when the match was drawn and players from both the sides shook their hands . They won the title with a first innings lead . Karnataka was favourite in the match having KL Rahul, Mayank Agarwal ,Karun Nayar and Prasidh Krishna in their side. But Jammu and Kashmir showed remarkable performance and tenacity . Subham Pundir was the Player of the Match in the final . Auqib Nabi Dar became the Player of the Tournament. He took 60 wickets in 10 matches and more than any one in the tournament. Smaran Ravichandran from Karnataka scored most runs in the tournament ( 950 runs ). Jammu and Kashmir’s coach  Ajay Sharma guided them remarkably throughout the championship.
