Cannot but –

It is a phrase generally used to express inevitability or a lack of choice in a particular situation.

Causes of use – It is used to express inevitability, lack of choice, strong feeling or emotion, to emphasize something and also can be used in negative sense.

Some Examples –

We cannot but feel angry upon him.

I cannot but be inspired by his performance.

The teacher cannot but emphasized the reality of the fact.

The coach cannot but disagree with the proposal.

The referee cannot but disqualified the goal.
