1.Researchers from IISC , in their study have identified molecular biomarks , which can be used to detect and predict with high probability whether an infection is viral or bacterial. ( credit – iisc.ac.in )
2.Researchers at the Centre for Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences ( CAOS ) at IISC studied the characteristics of storms during pre- monsoon and monsoon season by using data from DWRs or Doppler Weather Radars operated by the Indian Meteorological Department at Bhopal, Lucknow, Nagpur and Patna , which is very much important for understanding the short- range weather forcasting and models. 5. As per United Nations almost more than 8 million tonnes of plastic end up in the ocean. They have started a campaign to protect our water resources by avoiding single use plastics, taking shorter showers and turning off the tap when brushing our teeth.
6. As per United Nations Rural Areas could face 30% of water deficit by 2030 and 95% of land areas degraded by 2050. They have suggested to take greater efforts for the development of rural areas without causing irreparable damage to the environment .
