Demise of Ratan Tata – veteran businessman and eminent philanthropist – died on October 09, 2024 , Wednesday – at 86 years of age – he was suffering from illness – admitted in Breach Candy Hospital, Mumbai – died there – great shock to the Tata Group and also for the country – he was the emeritus chairman of Tata group and Chairman of Tata Trust when died – he was the Chairman of the Tata group from 1991 – 2012 – was born on December 28, 1937 – full name Ratan Naval Tata – parents were Naval Tata and Sooni Tata – took key role in Group’s growth – aquisition of some global brand like Jaguar Land Rover, Corus Steel , Tetley Tea during his tenure – as the Chairman of Tata Trust he served the mankind – great impact on the education, healthcare and rural development – resigned as Tata Group Chairman on his 75th birthday – he was honoured with Padma Vibhushan in 2008 and Padma Bhushan in 2000 – in his death the whole country mourns – eminent leaders and persons expressed their condolences – Maharashtra Government declared a day of mourns – his mortal remains were kept in NCPA or National Centre for Performing Arts- for people to pay their last respect – his last rites were performed with full state honours at the Worli crematorium – his death is a great loss to the country
