Ballon d’Or 2022 was the 66th ceremony of the award. It was celebrated at Theatre du Chatelet in Paris. The Real Madrid striker and the French International Karim Benzema was rewarded with the Ballon d’Or award for his superb performance for both his club and country in 2021-22. He recieve the golden ball .
Women’s Ballon d’Or Award was given to Alexia Putellas of Spain and FC Barcelona Femini.
Gerd Muller Award was awarded to Robert Lewandowski ( Poland, Club – Bayern Munich in 2021-22, now at FC Barcelona).
Kopa Award went to Gavi ( Spain, Club -FC Barcelona).
Yashine Award for best goalkeeper went to Thibaut Courtois ( Belgium, Club – Real Madrid).
Socrates Award went to Sadio Mane (Senegal, Club -Liverpool in 2021-22, now at Bayern Munich) .
Club of the year Award went to Manchester City ( England ).
