India won the Junior Men’s Asia Cup Hockey 🏑 tournament by defeating Pakistan in the final by two goals to one . It was the 10th edition of the tournament and played in Salalah Sports Complex, Salalah, Oman . Angad Bir Singh scored in the 13th minute and Araijeet Singh Hundal scored in the 20th minute for India and Abdul Basharat scored the only goal for Pakistan in the 37th minute . It is the 4th time for Indian Men’s to achieve the title . South Korea won the Bronze medal by defeating Malaysia 2-1 . Abdul Shahid of Pakistan became the Player of the tournament and Mohit H. S. of India became the Goalkeeper of the tournament.
Indian Women’s Junior team achieved the crown of Junior Women’s Asia Cup Hockey 🏑 2023 for the first time in the history. The tournament was played in the Kawasaki Heavy Industries Hockey Stadium in Kakamigahara , Japan . They defeated South Korea by 2-1 in the final . For India Annu scored in the 21st minute and Neelam scored in the 40 minute of the match and Seoyeon Park scored the only goal for South Korea in the 24th minute . India’s Annu scored the most number of goals in the tournament. Japan defeated China by 2-1 to become the third team of the tournament and to reach the FIH Women’s Junior World Cup , 2023 in Chile. Indian Women’s have already qualified for the tournament.
