ANM(R) and GNM Nursing Courses in West Bengal – 2021

Joint Entrance to admit in ANM (R ) or Auxiliary Nursing & Midwifery Course and GNM or General Nursing & Midwifery Course , 2021 in various Govt. / Pvt. /Self financed institutes in West Bengal.

Exam. will be taken by WBJEEB or West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board.

Duration of the Course– 1. ANM (R)- Two years.

2. GNM- Three years.

Eligibility – 1. Applicant must be a citizen of India.

2. Minimum age – 17 years as on 31.12.2021 i.e., born on or before 31.12.2004.

Maximum age – 35 years as on 31.12.2021.

3. Gender – i. For ANM(R) – Female only; ii. for GNM – Male and Female.

4. Residence – i. For ANM(R) – Must be a permanent residence of West Bengal for at least last five years uninterruptedly till 31.12.2020 and she must be a permanent resident of a Gram Panchayat area.

ii. For GNM – Must be a permanent resident of West Bengal for last five years uninterruptedly till 31.12.2020.

5. Language – Applicant must be able to read, write and express in Bengali and / or Nepali.

6. Educational Qualification – i. 10+2 passed with at least 40% marks in aggregate. ii. Must pass in English with at least 40% marks in 10+2. iii. Candidates passed 10+2 in Vocational Stream must be from any of the following three disciplines – Health Care Science , Agriculture, Home Science.

7. All candidates must be medically fit for the course and produce a medical Fitness Certificate in the format givenin appendix – 7 at the time of admission.

Examination Schedule – The Exam. will be conducted on 22/08/2021 ( Sunday ) from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM.

Pattern of Exam. – 1. The questions will be from following section –

i. Life Sciences ( Class ix and X ) – 25 questions .

ii. Physical Science ( Class ix and X ) – 15 questions.

iii. Arithmetic ( Class ix and X ) – 5 questions.

iv. English Grammar – 10 questions.

v. General Knowledge – 5 questions.

vi. Logical Reasoning – 5 questions.

Total – 65 questions.

2. All questions will be MCQ or Multiple Choice Questions with four options.

3. Questions will be answered on a OMR sheet.

4. There will be 1 marks in each questions.

5. For every wrong answer there will be 1/4 negative marks.

Exam. Fees– Rs. 200/- for SC/ ST/ OBC-A/ OBC-B/Orphan and Rs. 300/- for all others candidates.
