Admission in Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya is made on the basis of an Entrance test conducted by CBSE ,which is called JNVST (Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test).
They take admission in class vi,ix and xi.
FOR CLASS VI– 1.A good no. of students can admit in class vi through JNVST. 2.Only candidates from the same district where the school is situated can apply for the particular school of that district. 3.Candidates appearing for the selection test must be studying in class v for the whole Academic Session. 4.Age of students must be within 9 to 13 years. 5.Candidates seeking admission under rural quota must complete class iii,iv,v in rural areas. 6.No candidate is allowed to appear for second time in selection test.
Reservation-75% of seats in district will be filled from the rural area’s students. 1/3 of seats are reserved for girls students. Reservation for SC and ST. 3% seats for disabled children.
TEST type- Student can select any language among 20 languages for the medium of the Exam.

Mental Ability 60 mints. 50%
Arithmatic 30 mints . 25%
Language 30 mints. 25%
Time of advertisement-Generally advertisement publishes in July month and Exam happen in April next year.At the time of application students can get prospectus also.
