Course Name – ITI or ITC or Junior Polytechnic or PPP Goverment ITI
Group–
Admission in two Group of courses under ‘E ‘ group and ‘M‘ group.
‘E’ Group-
Qualification – Class viii passed boys and girls.
Trades under ‘E’ Group –
Carpenter, Mason, Sheet Metal Worker, Welder, Welder Pipe, Plumber, Dress Making, Painter , Wireman, Cutting and Sewing or Sewing Technology.
Duration– Painter General and Warman- 2 years. Others trades- 1 year.
‘M’ Group-
Qualification – Class X passed boys and girls. To be eligible for Engineering trades one had to completed Class X or Madhyamik with Mathematics and Physical Science.
Trades under ‘M’ Group –
i) One year trades- Mechanical ( Diesel ), Foundry man/ Foundry man Technician, Plastic Processing Operator, Mechanic Motor Cycle, Plumber, Computer Hardware and Network Maintenance, Mechanic Auto Body Repair, Welder Pipe, Baker and Confectioner, Computer Operator and Programming Assistant, Craftsman Food Production ( General ), or Food Production ( General ), Desk Top Publishing Operator, Fashion Technology or Fashion Design Technology, Hair and Skin Care or Basic Cosmetology, Health Sanitary Inspector, Horticulture, Preservation of Fruits and Vegetables or Craftsman Fruit and Vegetable Processing, Secretarial Practice ( English ), Steward or Food and Beverage Guest Service Assistant, Computer Aided Embroidery and Designing, Front Office Assistant , Food Beverage.
ii) Two years trades – Surveyor, Turner, Fitter, Electrician, Attendant Operator ( Chemical Plant ), Draughtsman ( Civil ), Draughtsman ( Mechanical ), Electronics Mechanic, Instrument Mechanic, Instrument Mechanic ( Chemical Plant ), I.T. E.S. M. or I.C. T.S.M., Laboratory Assistant ( Chemical Plant ), Machinist, Machinist Grinder, Maintenance Mechanic ( Chemical Plant ), Mechanic Computer Hardware, Mechanic Motor Vehicle, Mechanic RAC, Tool and Die Maker ( Dies and Moulds), Press Tools, Jigs and Fixtures , Information Technology.
Age –
Minimum- 14 years as on 01.08.2021 or must born before 01.08.2007. No upper age restriction.
Seat Reservation –
For SC- 22%, ST – 6%, O.B.C. – 7%, PWD- 4%, Girls -30%. In few trades if sufficient number of Girls candidates not found Boys candidates can apply for those Girls Industrial Training Institutes.
Selection Procedure –
i) For ‘M‘ Group candidates will be selected based on their marks in Madhyamik Examination.
ii) For ‘E‘ Group candidates will be selected based on their result in class viii .
As per the Rank students can choose their institutions.
The selection will be done by West Bengal State Council of Technical and Vocational Education and Skill Development.
Tuition Fess –
Government ITI/ ITC / JP-
Tuition Fee for first six months– Rs. 30/- per month. Admission Fee ( one time only )- Rs. 100/- . Registration Fee( one time only )- Rs. 30/- (For Kanyashree one time only Registration fee -Rs. 15 /-) , Caution Money (one time only )- Rs. 100/- .
Government ITIs running under PPP mode-
Tuition Fee for first six months – Rs. 30/- per month. Admission Fee ( one time only )- Rs.100/-, Registration Fee (one time only )- Rs. 30/- ( for Kanyashree one time only Registration Fee- Rs. 15/- ), Caution Money ( one time only )- Rs. 100/- .
